Bank of Fukuoka Ltd chooses BDO Unibank as partner-bank

Japan's third largest regional bank, Bank of Fukuoka Ltd has chosen Banco de Oro (BDO) Unibank as its partner-bank in the Philippines to "service the needs of its clients should they decide to expand their business or set up shops."

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, BDO Unibank said Bank of Fukuoka Ltd chose the former through a memorandum of understandings.

"No Japanese Regional Bank in the Kyushu Region has signed with any Philippine bank in the past," a BDO statement said.

Since 2013, BDO has sealed agreements with Japanese regional banks strategically situated in the various prefectures of Japan. DMS
