EEI Corp. inks partnership with Japanese firms

EEI Corporation, the 88-year old construction arm of the Yuchengco Group of Companies, inked a partnership agreement with Showa Leasing Co., Ltd. of the Shinsei Bank Group, Japan, and Saiga Co., Ltd., Japan.
EEI Corp. announced this in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Monday.
Showa Leasing aims to expand its business overseas and Saiga and is a leading crane rental company with operations worldwide, looking to expand its presence in the Philippines.
The parties have agreed to set up a new Philippine based joint venture corporation for the purpose of managing new and second-hand construction equipment with the vision to expand its services to Southeast Asia. DMS
