Globe says data services restored after nearly eight hour glitch

Globe Telecom on Friday said a server issue caused a sudden nationwide internet outage that last for nearly eight hours.
In a statement, Globe announced full restoration of data services at 1 pm. The advisory came after the unannounced glitch which Globe said lasted from 1:30 am to 8 am.
"We apologize for the data/internet service interruption that happened from 1:30 am to 8 am today. The interruption was caused by a server issue," the Ayala-owned telecommunication service said.
"All affected customers - Globe Postpaid, GLobe Prepaid, TM, Globe At Home Prepaid Wifi can now enjoy data/internet services again. We request customers to please switch your mobile devices or modems off and on to reboot your numbers in our system," the statement read. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
