Honda Aircraft Starts Accepting HondaJet Orders in Middle East

Tokyo- Honda Aircraft Co. has said it started accepting orders for a new model of the HondaJet small aircraft in Middle East countries.

The U.S. unit of Japanese automaker Honda Motor Co. designated an aviation-related company in the United Arab Emirates as a sales agency.

The HondaJet is sold in North America, Europe and Asia. Honda Aircraft aims to boost sales by launching the upgraded HondaJet Elite in the Middle East, where many wealthy people live.

The HondaJet Elite will be offered in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UAE.

"With Honda's brand strength and recognition in the Middle East, we have received tremendous interest in the HondaJet Elite," Honda Aircraft President Michimasa Fujino said in a statement Monday. Jiji Press
