HondaJet Undergoes 1st Upgrade

Tokyo- Honda Motor Co. said Monday it has made the first upgrade to its HondaJet small business aircraft whose shipments began in 2015.

Deliveries of the upgraded HondaJet Elite will start in August.

The HondaJet Elite has a larger fuel tank capacity than the original model, enabling an extended flight range of some 2,661 kilometers, up by 17 pct.

The upgraded model is equipped with a newly developed inlet structure that greatly reduces high frequency noise to enhance cabin quietness.

Shipments of the HondaJet totaled 43 units last year, making it the most delivered small jet in the world. Jiji Press
