Japan Used Vehicle Sales Up 0.5 Pct in April

Tokyo- Sales of used vehicles in Japan in April rose 0.5 pct from a year earlier to 307,958 units, the first increase in four months, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association said Monday.
The figure does not include minivehicles, equipped with 660 cc or smaller engines.
The number of vehicles traded in increased as new vehicles sales remained robust in the month.
Sales of used passenger cars stood at 266,344 units, almost unchanged.
Sales of used trucks rose 1.1 pct to 32,856 units, while those of used buses surged 56.7 pct to 2,175 units. Jiji Press
