Peso ends at P48.063: $1, PSEi down 53.62 to 7,229.73

The Philippine peso closed at P48.063 against the US dollar from P48.05 on Tuesday.
Volume at the Bankers Association of the Philippines foreign exchange portal reached $490.65 million from Monday's $358.8 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index lost 53.62 points to end at 7,227.73 million.
In the broader market, there were 195 gainers, 128 losers and 49 unchanged.
Volume reached 63.9 billion shares worth P101.36 billion.
Most active shares were led by Metrobank, down P1.20 to P49.80; Ayala Land, down 20 centavos to P41.30 and BDO rose P1 to P114.50. DMS
