Peso gains vs US dollar, finishes at P48.05:$1

The Philippine peso ended higher against the US dollar at it finished at P48.05 on Wednesday from Monday's P48.08.
Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $505.8 million from Monday's $539.45 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed 102.66 points lower to end at 7, 102.66.
In the broader market, there were 132 gainers, 117 losers and 27 unchanged.
Volume reached 99.2 billion shares worth P9.88 billion from Monday's 45.27 billion shares valued at P9.55 billion.
Most active shares were led by Metrobank, down 75 centavos to P51; Dito CME, down 36 centavos to P7.25 and Ayala Land, down P1.10 to P38.70. DMS
