Peso hits highest level since June before ending at P50.04:$1

The peso hit its highest level against the US dollar since June 19 before closing at P50.04 against the greenback on Wednesday.
The peso ended at P50.04 after it reached a high of P49.96. It settled at P50.14 on Friday before the market took a two-day holiday break.
But volume at the Philippine Dealing System went down to $523.1 million from $840.91 on Friday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange Index rose 58.6 points to 8,490.91. Foreigners were net buyers, with P1.70 billion worth of stocks bought compared to P1.354 billion bought. DMS
