Peso unchanged at P48.085; PSEi down

The Philippine peso hit the day's low of P48.05 against the US dollar before closing at P48.085 on Monday.
It also settled at P48.085 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $399.9 million from Friday's $797.82 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended 47.91 points lower to 7,224.89.
In the broader market, there were 144 losers, 83 gainers and 42 unchanged.
Volume reached 33.48 billion shares worth P8.49 billion from Friday's 23.55 billion shares valued at P11.87 billion.
Most active shares were led by BDO, down P2.10 to P109.90; Dito CME, up 42 centavos to P8.35; AC Energy, up 55 centavos to P7.15 and GT Capital Holdings, down P26.50 to P609.50. DMS
