Philippine trade gap declines to $3.35 billion in June

The Philippines' trade deficit reduced slightly to $3.35 billion from $3.7 billion in May, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said Wednesday.
Exports reached $5.7 billion while imports went up to $9.05 billion. Total external trade in goods in June reached $14.75 billion, down from $15.22 billion in the previous month,
Electronic products continued to be the country’s top export with total earnings of $3.35 billion, accounting for 58.8 percent share to the total exports revenue in June.
Inbound shipments of electronic products in June comprised 25.3 percent of the total imports valued at $2.28 billion. DMS
