PSE index closes slightly higher

The main Philippine share index ended lower on Monday.
The peso closed at P50.57 against the US dollar from P50.56 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $971.50 million from $831,50 million on the previous session.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index finished at 7,326.85, up 44.85. In the broader market, there were 107 gainers, 77 losers and 49 unchanged.
Volume reached 782.6 million valued at P7.84 billion from Friday's 888.4 million valued at P6.45 billion.
Most active shares are led by SM Prime, unchanged at P41,70; SM Investment Corp., up to P23 to P1,015 and Ayala Corp., up P5 to P 750. DMS
