PSE index decline

The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index ended lower on Friday.
The peso settled at P50. 42 against the US dollar from P50.56 onThursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal at the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $433.2 million from $558. 39 million on the previous day.
The PSE index finished at 5,621.94 points, down 31.22. In the broader market, there were 90 losers, 75 gainers and 55 unchanged.
Volume reached 470.94 million shares worth P5.86 billion from Thursday's 477.90 million valued at P4.86 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Corp., up P42 to P704; SM Investment Corp., down P22.50 to P804 and Ayala Land, up P1.10 to P32.65. DMS
