PSE index declines

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index ended lower on Monday.
The Philippine peso closed at P50.695 against the US dollar from P50.84 on Friday. Volume reached $213.84 million from Friday's $391.68 million at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines.
The PSE index finished at 5,450.45, down 14.53 points. In the broader market, there were 112 losers, 88 gainers and 32 losers.
Volume reached 568.77 million shares worth P4.07 billion from Friday's 829.26 million shares valued at P 5.24 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, up 15 centavos to P28.80; BDO, down P3 to P97 and Puregold, up 60 centavos to P47. DMS
