PSE index declines after Friday’s rally

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index declined on Monday after a big rally on Friday.
The peso settled at P50.79 against the US dollar from Friday's P50.90. Volume at the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $320.57 million from $491.6 million on Friday.
The PSE index finished at 5,733.65 points, down 56.32. But in the broader market, there were 109 gainers, 83 losers and 44 unchanged.
Volume reached 704 million shares worth P4.75 billion from Friday's 733.29 million shares valued at P7.29 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down45 centavos to P31.10; SM Investment Corp., down P15 to P845 and Ayala Corp.,up P9 to P606. DMS
