PSE index declines, peso at P49.375:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index declined on Wednesday, losing 72.05 points to P6,064.
In the broader market, there were 105 losers, 89 gainers and 35 unchanged.
Volume reached three billion shares worth P4.5 billion from Tuesday's 2.52 billion shares valued at P4.37 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, down 10 centavos to P30.90; Ayala Land, down 20 centavos to P33; PLDT, up P4 to P1,349 and SM Investment Corp., down P10 to P915.
The peso closed at P49.375 against the US dollar from P49.39. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $567.13 million from the previous day's $676.25 million. DMS
