PSE index declines

The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index declined on Friday.
The peso closed at P50.84 against the US dollar from Thursday's P50.67. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $391.68 million from the previous session of $290 million.
The PSE index ended at 5,464.98, down 134.47 points. In the broader market, there were 105 losers, 76 gainers and 48 unchanged.
Volume reached 829.26 million shares valued at P5.2 billion from Thursday's 697.10 million shares valued at P4.37 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down P1.30 to P28.90; SM Prime, down P1.60 to P28.65 and PLDT, up P 64 to P1,227. DMS
