PSE index down, peso at P48.575:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange(PSE) index lost 114.33 points to end at 6,042.12 points on Wednesday.
In the broader market, there were 95 losers, 92 gainers and 42 unchanged.
The peso closed at P48.575 against the US dollar. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $794.5 million from $875.4 million on Tuesday.
Volume at the PSE amounted to 1.36 billion shares worth P5.46 billion from Tuesday's 9.76 billion shares valued at P5.96 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Investment Corp. up P10 to P900; Axalum Resources, up 12 centavos to P2.48; SM Prime, down P1 to P31 and Ayala Land, down P1 to P31.85. DMS
