PSE index ends flat

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index ended flat on Friday.
The PSE index finished at 6, 197.38 points,up 4.80 points. In the broader market, there were 115 losers, 82 gainers and 47 unchanged.
Volume reached 2.26 billion shares worth P5.17 billion from Thursday's 1.42 billion shares valued at P5.09 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down 95 centavos to P32; SM Investment Corp., down P5 to P940; BDO, down P1.40 to P94.70.
The peso closed at P49.485 against the US dollar from P49.41 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $684.9 million from $641.7 million on Thursday. DMS
