PSE index ends higher

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed higher on Thursday, a day before a trading holiday due to Independence Day.
The PSE index ended at 6,476.24, up 36.87 points. In the broader market, there were 117 losers, 72 gainers and 51 unchanged.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, up 25 centavos to P33.25; Emperador, down three centavos to P8.32; Jollibee, unchanged at P145 and Alliance Global, down 10 centavos to P7. DMS
