PSE index ends higher, peso at P49.375:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index ended higher on Monday.
The PSE index closed 61.95 points higher at 6, 150.70.In the broader market, there were 109 gainers, 73 losers and 52 unchanged,
Volume reached 2.27 billion shares worth P3.11 billion from Friday's 1.84 billion shares valued at P4.12 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up P1.25 to P32.95; Megawide, up 26 centavos to P7.50 and BDO, down 50 centavos to P93.
The peso closed at P49.375 against the US dollar from Friday's P49.44. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $492.33 million from Friday's $687.8 million. DMS
