PSE index ends lower

The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index ended lower on Thursday.
The peso closed at P50.61 against the US dollar from P50.65 on Wednesday. Volume reached $778.6 million from $919.26 million on the previous day.
The PSE index settled at 5, 604,up 22.53. In the broader market, there were 86 losers, 75 gainers and 57 unchanged.
Volume reached 450.18 million shares worth P4.7 billion from Wednesday's 316.58 million valued at P3.3 billion.
Most active shares were led by SM Prime, down 70 centavos to P28.95; Puregold, up P1.35 to P46.35 and BDO, down P1.00 to P92. DMS
