PSE index ends lower; peso at P48.46:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index closed 15.04 points lower to 5,894.28 points on Tuesday.
In the broader market, there were 105 losers, 86 gainers and 46 unchanged.
Volume reached 4.4 billion shares worth P4.63 billion from Monday's 2.13 billion shares valued at P4.27 billion.
Most active shares were led by Now Corp., down 30 centavos to P3.28; Dito CME, down 13 centavos to P3.99; Ayala Land, down 50 centavos to P30 and PLDT, up P7 to P1,382.
The peso closed at P48.46 against the US dollar from Monday's P48.365. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $548.8 million from Monday's $662.83 million. DMS
