PSE index lower after seven-day gain; peso at P49.80:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) Index ended lower on Friday after rising for seven straight sessions.
The peso closed at P49.80 from P50 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.011 billion from $602.2 million.
The PSE index finished at 6,465.13, down 52.26. In the broader market, there were 118 gainers, 77 losers and 43 unchanged.
Volume reached 946.66 million shares worth P9.11 billion from Thursday's 2.2 billion shares valued at P11.52 billion.
Most active shares were led by GT Capital, up P26 to P480; BDO, up P5 to P114; BPI, up P1 to P78 and Ayala Corp., down P5 to P793. DMS
