PSE index lower, peso at P48.71:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index ended lower on Monday.
But the peso closed at P48.71 against the US dollar from Friday' P48.765. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $423.3 million from Friday's $59..65 million.
The PSE index closed 8.13 points lower to 6068.78. In the broader market, there were 102 losers 73 gainers and 62 unchanged.
Volume reached 3.07 billion shares worth P5.76 billion from Friday's 6.8 billion shares valued at P9.46 billion.
Most active shares were led by AREIT, up P1.85 to P25.95; SM Investment Corp. down P 20 to P880; PLDT, down P2 to P 1348 and Puregold, down 85 centavos to P49.65. DMS
