PSE index, peso vs US dollar end lower

The main Philippine stock index and the peso against the US dollar ended lower on Monday.
The peso closed at P50.86 from P50.49 on Friday. Volume at the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.046 billion from $789.65 million on Friday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) finished at 8,009.38 points, down 56.38. In the broader market, there were 107 losers, 77 gainers and 47 unchanged.
Volume reached 827.87 million worth P5.39 billion from Friday's 689.05 million valued at P6,83 billion.
Most active shares were led by Alliance Global, down 66 centavos to P 11.28' BDO, down P4.50 to P 155 and Ayala Land, down 20 centavos to P46.80. DMS
