PSE index rallies to end slightly higher

Stocks rallied to close higher on Tuesday, with the Philippine Stock Exchange index finishing 12.48 points up to 8,722.70.
In the broader market, there were 116 decliners, 95 gainers and 53 issues unchanged.
Volume went down to 3.47 billion shares valued at P7.8 billion from Monday's 7.3 billion shares worth P9.6.
After a day, foreigners became net sellers. Foreign selling reached P3.28 billion while foreign buying amounted to P2.85 billion.
Most active shares were led by Now Corp., up 29.03 percent to P14.58; Ayala Land, 0.88 percent to P46 and PXP Energy Corp., 4.56 percent to P15.14.
The peso closed at P52.24 against the US dollar from Monday's P52.34. Volume declined to $977.80 million from $1.025 billion at the Philippine Dealing System. DMS
