PSE index up on Friday, down week-on-week

The main Philippine share index closed higher on Friday, but ended lower for the week.
The peso settled at P50.831 against the US dollar from P50.715 on Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $1.224 billion from the previous day's $1.25 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange ( PSE) index finished at 7,722.58 points, up 69.40. For the week, the index was 0.70 percent lower.
In the broader market, there were 99 gainers, 77 losers and 53 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 1.22 billion shares worth P6.27 billion from Thursday's 1.04 billion shares valued at P6.44 billion.
Most traded shares were led by Ayala Land, up 65 centavos to P43.55; Cirtek Holdings, up 70 centavos to P9.64 and SM Prime, up 30 centavos to P40.70. DMS
