PSEi ends flat; peso at P48.65: $1

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended flat on Wednesday, closing 2.07 points higher to 5,925.30.
In the broader market, there were 101 gainers, 80 losers and 60 unchanged.
Volume rose to 2.8 billion shares worth P5.97 billion from Tuesday's 3.83 billion shares valued at P5 billion.
Most active shares were led by Dito CME Holdings, up 25 centavos to P6.21; Now Corp., up 50 centavos to P5.31 billion; PLDT, down P6 to P1,290 and Ayala Land, down 30 centavos to P29.80.
The peso closed at P48.65 against the US dollar from P48.535 on Tuesday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $715.61 million from Tuesday's $821.6 million. DMS
