PSEi ends lower; peso at P48.535:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange index ( PSEi) closed 13.82 points to end at 5,923.23 on Tuesday.
In the broader market, there were 98 gainers, 95 losers and 59 unchanged.
Volume reached 3.83 billion shares worth P 5 billion from Monday's 11.13 billion shares valued at P5.34 billion.
Most active shares were led by MerryMart, up 10 centavos to P3.10; Dito CME Holdings, down 20 centavos to P5.96 and ICTSI, down 20 centavos to P119.73.
The peso closed at P48.535 against the US dollar from P48.47 on Monday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $821.6 million from $600.35 million on Monday. DMS
