PSEi gains, peso at P48.51:$1

The Philippine Stock Exchange index ( PSEi) gained 22.73 points to close at 5,861.39 on Monday.
In the broader market, there were 113 losers, 88 gainers and 38 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.14 billion shares valued at P5.08 billion from Friday's 1.4 billion shares worth P3.66 billion.
Most active shares were led by Dito CME Holdings, up 29 centavos to P4.49; SM Prime, unchanged at P38.50; BDO, down 55 centavos to P86.45 and Ayala Land, down 45 centavos to P29.80.
The peso closed at P48.51 against the US dollar from P48.46 on Friday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $490.35 million from $713.5 million on Friday. DMS
