Slight gains for stocks

Stocks gained slightly on Thursday as the Philippine Stock Exchange rose 22.23 points to 7,816.40. In the broader market, there were 108 gainers, 94 losers and 45 shares unchanged. Volume reached 3.92 billion shares valued at P15.59 billion. Foreign funds remained net buyers, with P1.284 billion Among gainers were Waterfront Philippines, up 12.12 percent to P0.74 and Concrete Aggregates, which finished 11.64 percent higher to P94.95. Most active shares were Ayala Land Inc, up 2.07 percent to P39.40 while Universal Robina Corp. went down 3.74 percent to P167.50 The peso strengthened by four centavos to end at P49.91 from Wednesday’s P49.95. Volume at the Philippine Dealing Systems reached $456 million from $486 million. DMS
