Stock index down by at least two percent

Philippine stocks fell on Monday, as the main share index shed more than two percent.
The peso declined to P53.37 against the US dollar from P53.135. Volume reached $786.4 million from Friday's $664.3 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished at 7, 635.27, down 169.71. In the broader market, there were 140 decliners, 58 gainers and 39 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.44 billion worth P5.17 billion from Friday's 1.5 billion valued at P8.33 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Corp., down 3.2 percent to P935,20; Ayala Land, down 3.17 percent to P41.25 and SM Prime, down 3.38 percent to P37.20. DMS
