Stock index down, peso at P51.87:$1

Stocks ended lower on Monday, with the Philippine Stock Exchange index closing at 7,533.28 points, down 12.91.
In the broader market, there were 92 decliners, 89 gainers and 46 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 1.1 billion shares worth P5.9 billion from Friday's 792 million valued at P6.245 billion. Foreigners were net sellers with P2.3 billion bought and P1.84 billion bought.
Most traded shares were 8990 Holdings, up 3.81 percent to P7.8; BDO Unibank, up 0.39 percent to P128.50; Jollibee, up 1.31 percent to P279 and Globe Telecom, up 7.12 percent to P1580.
The peso closed at P51.87 against the US dollar from Friday's P51,675. Volume at the Bankers Association of the Philippine reached $585 million from $823.4 million on Friday. DMS
