Stocks decline, peso unchanged at P52.40:$1

Stocks declined on Tuesday, as the Philippine Stock Exchange index shed 33.93 points to 8,419.37.
In the broader market, there were 123 decliners, 84 gainers and 52 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 4.85 billion shares worth P6.56 billion from Monday's 8.52 billion worth P7.19 billion. Foreigners remained net sellers, with P2.88 billion sold and P2.4 billion bought.
Most traded shares were led by MRC Allied, down 4.49 percent to 85 centavos; BDO Unibank, down 2.48 percent to P149.50; Double Dragon Properties, up 4.57 percent to P35.50 and Ayala Land, down 1.07 percent to P41.55.
The peso closed unchanged at P52.04 against the US dollar. Volume at the Philippine Dealing System reached $359.80 million from $507.90 million. DMS
