Stocks end higher, peso at P50.24:$1

Stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the main Philippine Stock Exchange index gaining 15.67 points to 8,378.28 points.
In the broader market, there were 104 decliners, 101 gainers and 41 issues unchanged.
Volume reached 1.13 billion shares worth P6.31 billion. Foreigners were net buyers with P4.2 billion while sellers were P2.34 billion.
Most traded shares were led by SM Investment Corp. down 0.21 percent to P971.50, BDO Unibank, down 0.86 percent to P150.50 and Metro Pacific, up 0.60 to P6.75.
The peso closed at P50.24 against the US dollar from P50.29 on Wednesday. Volume at the Philippine Dealing System reached $630.20 million from $490.80 million. DMS
