Stocks end lower

Stocks closed on lower on Wednesday, as the Philippine Stock Exchange index finished less than one percent lower.
The index closed at 7,261.62, down 50.99. In the broader market, there were 103 decliners, 92 gainers and 45 shares unchanged.
Wealth Securities said the index has lost 20.02 percent from its all-time high on January 2018.
Volume reached 1.7 billion shares worth P5.3 billion from Tuesday's 902 million shares valued P6.9 billion. Foreigners were net sellers, with P3.525 billion sold and P2.753 bought.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down 0.39 percent to P38.25; Metrobank, up 0.97 percent to P72.70 and SM Prime, down 0.58 percent to P34.50. DMS
