Stocks end lower but peso ends at P50.27:$1

Stocks pared midday losses but ended still lower as trading for the month of November ended Wednesday.
There will be no trading Thursday, National Heroes Day. The peso closed to P50.27 against the US dollar from P50.35 on Tuesday. Volume at the Philippine Dealing System reached $728.90 million from $696.45 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished 37.85 points lower to end at 8,254.03. In the broader market, there were 104 decliners, 85 gainers and 51 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 1.293 billion shares worth P18.7 billion. Foreigners were net buyers with P13.839 billion of stocks bought compared to P12.618 billion sold.
Most actively traded shares were led by Meralco, up 0.64 percent, to P315; Jollibee, down 3.33 percent to P243.60 and Ayala Land, down 2.73 percent to P42.80. DMS
