Stocks end lower despite foreign buying

Stocks ended lower on Tuesday as the Philippine Stock Exchange Index shed off 25.26 points to 7,860. 77 despite foreign buying. In the broader market, there were 105 decliners, 77 gainers while 58 were unchanged. Volume reached 1.33 billion worth P7.39 billion. Foreigners were net buyers with P3.09 billion with sellers at P2.52 billion. Despite gains by Wilcon Depot, up 5.36 percent to P 5.70 and from Petron, up 2.55 percent to P11.26, the market was weighed down by declines in Ayala Land and Aboitiz Power. The peso lost two centavos to finish at P49.84 against the US dollar. DMS
