Stocks end slightly higher

Stocks closed slightly higher on Wednesday, with the main share index posting a marginal gain.
The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) closed 3.38 points higher to 7,689.14 points. In the broader market, there were 108 gainers, 97 decliners and 43 shares unchanged.
The peso closed at P52.385 against the US dollar from Tuesday's P52.4. Volume at the Bankers Association of the Philippines amounted to $859.1 million from $646.7 million.
Volume at the PSE reached 1.51 billion worth P5.94 billlion from Tuesday's 1.98 billion valued at P5.4 billion. Foreigners remained net sellers with P2.94 billion sold and P2.92 billion bought.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, up 1.49 percent to P40.90; LT Group, up 2.25 percent to P20.45 and Bloomberry, up 6.28 percent to P11.50. DMS
