Stocks finish lower, peso gains to P50.797:$1

Stocks ended lower on Tuesday, with the Philippine Stock Exchange index finishing 32.79 points lower to 8,289.19.
In the broader market, there were 124 decliners, 78 gainers and 24 unchanged.
Volume reached 1.94 billion worth P7.18 billion. Foreigners were net sellers, unloading P3.46 billion worth of shares while buying P3.19 billion.
Among most active shares were SM Investment Corp. down 0.71 percent to P973, SM Prime, down 0.70 percent to P35.40.
The peso closed at P50.797 against the US dollar from P50.94. Volume at the Philippine Dealing System reached $584.90 million from $577.10 million. DMS
