Stocks gain, peso declines by six centavos to P53.15:$1

Philippine stocks ended higher while the peso lost six centavos against the US dollar on Friday.
The peso settled at P53.15 against the US dollar from P53.09 on Thursday. Volume reached $595.15 million from $849.2 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished at 7,819.39 points, up 59.84. In the broader market, there were 126 gainers, 67 decliners and 51 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 1.72 billion shares worth P5.72 billion from Thursday's 1.06 billion valued at P4.93 billion. Foreigners were net buyers after turning net sellers in the previous day.
Foreigners bought P3.19 billion worth of shares compared to selling of P3.18 billion.
Most traded shares were led by Bloomberry, down 1.18 percent to P10.08, Metrobank, up 3.68 percent to P76 and PXP Energy Corp., up 5.84 percent to P14.24. DMS
