Stocks lower in final trading day of the week

Stocks ended lower, with main counters posting declines as the trading week wound up on Friday.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index finished 124.02 points lower to 8,337.04. In the broad market, there were 123 decliners, 81 gainers and 38 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 941 million worth P10.7 billion. Foreigners were net sellers, unloading P7.781 billion and buying P6.682 billion.
Despite the profit-taking that took place towards the end of Friday's session, the index ended the week 0.39 percent higher.
Most actively traded shares were led by Ayala Land, down 2.08 percent to P42.40, SM Prime , down 4.76 percent to P36 and Semirara Mining and Power Corp., down 5.14 percent to 35.10.
The peso closed at P50.445 against the US dollar from P50.47. Volume at the Philippine Dealing System reached $447.30 million from $475.70 million. DMS
