Stocks, peso finish lower

Philippine stocks and the peso ended lower on Friday.
The peso closed at P52.18 against the US dollar, down four centavos from Thursday. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $787.81 million from $961 million.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index closed at 7,868.28 points, down 26.17. In the broader market, there were 94 decliners, 81 gainers while 61 shares remained unchanged.
Volume reached 2.46 billion shares worth P5.7 billion from Thursday's 743.9 million worth P6.5 billion.
Most active shares were led by Ayala Land, down 2.02 percent to P48.50; BPI, up 2.39 percent to P83.45 and BDO unchanged at P134. DMS
