Stocks slightly higher, peso at P51.945:$1

Stocks finished slightly higher on Wednesday, as the Philippine Stock Exchange index ended 9.25 points higher to 7,943.93.
In the broader market, there were 100 decliners, 91 gainers and 66 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 1.23 billion shares valued at P6,5 billion from Tuesday's 1.7 billion shares worth P7.65 billion. Foreigners remained net sellers with P4.06 billion sold and P3.44 billion bought.
Most traded shares included BDO, up 0.44 percent to P137.30; Bloomberry, down 8.4 percent to P12 and Jollibee, up 1.97 percent to P289.60.
The peso closed at P51.945 against the US dollar from P52 on the previous day. Volume at the Bankers Association of the Philippines reached $583.6 million from Tuesday's $570.64 million. DMS
