Toyota’s U.S. Auto Sales Up 3.6 Pct in June

New York- Toyota Motor Corp. said Tuesday its new vehicle sales in the United States grew 3.6 pct to 209,602 units in June from a year before.
The increase was driven by continued brisk demand for sport-utility vehicles and pickup trucks.
Sales of the RAV4 crossover SUV soared 10.6 pct to 37,722 units, marking a record high for June.
Honda Motor Co. said its U.S. sales in June gained 4.8 pct to 146,563 units, the highest level for the month.
The company saw its sales of pickup trucks and SUVs rise 12.0 pct to 78,483 units.
Nissan Motor Co. posted a 1.2 pct rise in overall vehicle sales, to 145,096 units. Of them, sales of pickup trucks and SUVs expanded 9.7 pct to 79,902 units. Jiji Press
