Walmart Denies Reported Withdrawal from Japan

Tokyo- U.S. retail giant Walmart Inc. on Friday showed its intention to keep operating in Japan, in response to the previous day's media reports that the firm will sell its Japanese supermarket unit Seiyu G.K. and withdraw from the Asian country.
Walmart said in a statement that it has not taken any decision to sell the fully owned subsidiary.
The world's biggest retail group noted that it will continue to do business in Japan to meet the changing needs of Japanese customers. Jiji Press
