4 Chinese ships enter Japanese waters near Senkakus

Naha, Okinawa Pref.- Four Chinese coast guard ships intruded into Japanese territorial waters off the Senkaku Islands in the southernmost prefecture of Okinawa on Monday.
It was the first intrusion by any Chinese government ship since April 3 and the eighth this year.
According to the Japan Coast Guard's 11th regional headquarters, based in Naha, the capital of Okinawa, the Haijing 2102, the Haijing 2306, the Haijing 2337 and the Haijing 31240 entered Japanese waters at a point north-northeast of the island of Kuba in the Senkaku chain, between around 10 a.m. (1 a.m. GMT) and 10:20 a.m.
The ships left the waters west-northwest of the same island between around 11:30 a.m. and 11:50 a.m.
The Japanese-administered islands are also claimed by China, which calls them Diaoyu. Jiji Press
