Abe Congratulates Mahathir for Comeback as Malaysia Leader

Tokyo- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe congratulated Mahathir Mohamad over the phone on Thursday for making a comeback as Malaysia's prime minister after 15 years.
In the phone talks, Abe said he hopes to further strengthen their countries' ties, as well as deepen cooperation for the stability and prosperity of the region.
Mahathir, who is slated to visit Japan in June for an international exchange conference, said he is looking forward to seeing Abe in the near future. Jiji Press
