Abe Expresses Sympathy to Indonesian People over Lombok Quake

Tokyo- Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his sympathy Monday to Indonesian people over Sunday's deadly 6.9-magnitude earthquake on the resort island of Lombok.
In a message to Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Abe also said he prays for early reconstruction in affected areas.
Foreign Minister Taro Kono issued a similar message to his Indonesian counterpart also on Monday, saying that Japan is ready to provide all-out support for the quake-hit Southeast Asian country.
The death toll from the quake has risen to 98, all Indonesian, according to the country's disaster mitigation agency.
A Japanese woman in her 40s was among 236 people injured, the Japanese consulate general in Denpasar on the neighboring island of Bali said, adding she was hurt slightly. Jiji Press
